Roller skates have started to arrive in store and are available now online at Skate-Parts.com and off the shelf at Runaway Skate (though some sizes and styles may need to be ordered in).

One of our newest and most exciting initiatives is now open as of today, Runaway Skate.
Runaway Skate is a retail skate shop located at Shop 4, 385 Oxley Dr, Runaway Bay, QLD 4216. It has a broad focus on every skate related including: skateboards, longboards, roller skates, inline skates, ice skates and scooters catering to the growing skate market on the Gold Coast.
At the moment, we are not going to have a full website for it, rather it’s going to run almost entirely through social media, including the Facebook page and Twitter account. FourSquare is also in the works (pending verification).

Runaway Skate
The Mission Boards logo has now been completed and looks fantastic. It really captures the feel we are going for! Now we just need to get started on the board designs and getting the website going. A basic website has been setup at the moment at MissionBoards.org and will hopefully be developed further soon. In the mean time though, check it out for the latest Mission Boards news and board graphics.
Mission Boards
Mission Boards is intended to be a new and exciting skateboard brand supporting missions around the world including ADRA, orphanage projects and others. More details of the missions being supported and how will be available on the website once it is completed.
Skate-Parts.Com has received stock of the new Stereo Vinyl Cruiser skateboards in all colours from Stereo Sound Agencies. Colours included red, blue, green, pink, yellow and black. Inspired by music, skateboarding and fun the Stereo Vinyl Cruisers draws on Stereo’s roots in American Jazz and Blues. It comes with ABEC 7 bearings, stickers to customise your board, and a free set of matching sunglasses! Like Penny’s, these boards are plastic injection molded, however they are half an inch longer. The new Skate-Parts.com logo! This will gradually be rolled out over stickers, business cards and the website with a new site coming soon. The aim with this logo is to incorporate our movement into inline skating whilst giving us a more modern wordmark to use.
TerraMedia is a contributor on Folding@Home and has been for quite some time. You can check our stats out here.
We’ve just recently folded over 250,000 points using just the TerraMedia computers and will soon be adding the Skate-Parts.com computers to the team so they can pit it out against each other and see who comes out on top.
For those who don’t know, Folding@Home assists research in protein folding by processing calculations in the background of our computers. Check out the resulting research so far.
We’re running a poll to help decide which logo we should go with for the new branding for Skate-Parts.Com. It needs to be memorable and ideally something that has some form of symbol or emblem that can be used to represent us with or without text. What do you think? As of today, Penny Skateboards are now on special for $125 at Skate-Parts.Com. This includes both standard Penny’s and custom Penny’s, however it does cost extra to customise your board depending on what bearings and wheels you choose. This price is available both online with free shipping and in store pickup.

We’ve officially moved into our new premises in Salisbury, which should give us plenty of room to grow with an office, store, and meeting room to help facilitate growth of the existing businesses, TerraMedia & Skate-Parts.Com and the new ones. After much umming and ahhing and experimenting with different concepts, I’ve finally got something that I’m happy with!
I always find designing for my own projects to be one of the hardest tasks and I’m very happy with how this is looking. The idea is that the leafy growth represents my ideas and projects growing from little seedlings or saplings. In some ways it looks like an apple, and I’ve also heard it described as a pear, both of these are representative of the image I’m going for though, bringing ideas to life, new growth and so on.
